Proprioceptive Seekers

Get To The Bottom Of Your Child’s Behaviors

We know how difficult it is to see your little one spinning out of control, grasping for whatever coping mechanisms- even seemingly odd ways to cope- that they’ve established to deal with frustration, stress, and being upset. Whether this is a new behavior or your child has been seeking for years, we have the information you need to understand your child’s actions.

Have you ever heard the saying, “Systems that fire together, wire together”? That is exactly what happens with kids too! If our kids are constantly running 100 mph, they get wired for 100 mph all the time.

What that looks like:
-trouble sleeping

Parents, you’re not alone in this, we are here to help! Join us for Proprioceptive Seekers on Friday, February 14th at 12:00 pm CST!

Most children go through a stage of self-discovery, testing their limits, and yours. Our goal is to help you understand your child’s needs and how to offer comfort and guidance through times of stress.

Proprioception is MOVEMENT and is needed by our brains to calm and relax. In the majority of people (kids + adults), this movement is naturally perceived by our brains and helps us to do normal functions like SLEEP, FOCUS, and SIT STILL.

In some kiddos, there can be roadblocks on their “proprioception highway,” and instead of being able to establish a calm state, they get stuck in a Go-Go-Go mode! Constantly moving, jumping, crashing, yelling, and wrestling to try and induce that movement from the outside-in.

Find out how to help your kiddo remove roadblocks from their proprioception highway and establish the calmness for their brain to function at its best!
